Monica's Baby Shower

We were all so excited when we found out that my baby sis Monica and her boyfriend Curtis were expecting their first baby. We were super excited when we found out that she was expecting a boy! Brayden will finally have a boy cousin to play with. My mom, big sister Melissa and I all pitched in to throw Monica and Curtis a baby shower. Monica's middle name is Rae and has been calling baby Westerhoff her Lil Rae of Sunshine. So of course we knew we had to do something based around a sunshine theme! I think it turned out great! Monica, Curtis and baby Westerhoff got lots of goodies that day thanks to their friends and family.

The invitation I created.

We had to have sunflowers of course.

The very clever party favor my mom came up with and the tags I made to go with them.

Just a few of the gifts beginning to arrive.

Presents galore to open :-)

Aww.. loved all the tiny baby clothes!

Turtle towel.

Got milk?

Showing us some of the goodies Carter got.

The crochet hat and baby blanket that Melissa's mom-in-law Sharon made!

Sharon also put together a diaper cake with lots of goodies for her.

The burp cloth and diaper bag my BF's mom-in-law made for Carter.

Car seat and stroller from Poppa and Nana Demers.

Melissa and I bought them their pack n' play. Curtis' sister Crystal bought them the crib bedding and his parents bought the crib, dresser/changer combo. With every one's help they just about got all of the things they needed for Carter's arrival. It's amazing how much stuff one tiny baby needs!

Lil' Rascals T-Ball

I signed Brayden and Peyton up to play t-ball on a co-ed team with the WPBA. At first Brayden did not want to play and Peyton couldn't wait since this was her first time. Well, as the season progressed Brayden loved playing and well... I could barely get Peyton to finish the second half of most games. I'm glad that Peyton got to have her first team experience and get her 1st trophy but I think next season she might just stick to cheering on bubba!

Practicing with daddy!

Peyton throwing to Brent.

Waiting to catch the ball.

A little scrimmage at practice.

Climbing the fence waiting for the game to start!

Peyton at bat! She would hit the ball so hard at home and then during

the game she would barely hit it.

Running to first!

I was so glad my father-in-law could help me since Brent had to work.

It's a good thing he's had lots of practice coaching because we needed it!

AWANA Awards

Brayden decided that he wanted to join his friend in AWANA cubbies this year. He got a late start but managed to learn all of his bible versus and get them recited so he could finish the whole book and earn all of his patches for that year. I am so proud of him for working hard to accomplish this goal and he thoroughly enjoyed going on Wednesday evenings. Peyton is not old enough to participate in cubbies but if she wants to during the next school year she will be able to start earning patches too.

Getting ready to sing for us.

His class waiting for their awards.

My lil cubbie bear :-)

Goodies that he got.
Peyton had to have her picture taken too!

Showing me his cubbie bear for completion of all of his bible verses!

He did such a good job I am so proud of him!

Shopping in Cedar Hill

These are just a few pics from the kids and I shopping with the Buchanan Family in Cedar Hill. They have a great outdoor shopping area with tons of stores. It reminded me of Firewheel except they have this store that I fell in love with called Charmin Charlie's!

Pirate sword!

Hello Kitty and my thumb!

Brayden's 5th Birthday Party

I can hardly believe that our baby B is 5 years old! I love my Brady baby with all my heart and feel extremely blessed that GOD gave us such a precious gift! Okay, okay enough of the mushy stuff, LOL!! Brayden loves to watch movies and enjoys going to the movie theater to see the latest kids movie. So, it was only fitting that he wanted to have a birthday party at our local movie theater. We got to see Furry Vengeance and it was a great "boy" movie! Lot's of kinda gross stuff but all of the kids loved it. We had pizza before the movie and then all of the kids got popcorn party packs. After the movie we all went back to the party room to have cake and open presents. It was a great day and our big boy had a great time :-)

Had to have a family pic!

The movie star cake I made along with the red and black star candies.

Growing up way to fast!

Cousin pic.

His favorite part of the evening.

My lil diva!

So excited to get another nerf gun.
