Peyton's First Hair Cut

Peyton has finally grown enough hair on top of her head that she needed her bangs trimmed. I wanted to keep the length in the back since it took her a while to grow it out. It was also time for Brayden to get a trim so we took them to Smart Style to get hair cuts today. Brayden is such a big boy and has become so used to getting his hair cut he likes to hold the hand held mirror so he can see his hair being cut the whole time. I was a little nervous about Peyton having her hair cut for the first time because she never sits still when I try to put hair clips in or brush it. She proved me completely wrong because she sat so still and didn't fuss at all. Even though it was a quick trim she did great! My little girl is growing up, It's hard to believe she turns 2 in less than three weeks.

Peyton's Toddler Bed Conversion

Once we decided to set up Peyton's new television and dvd player in her room, I felt it was time to transition her bed from the crib to the toddler bed. Brent wasn't so sure but we thought we would attempt it and if it didn't work out then we could easily convert it back. She slept great that night and we have not had to deal with the tears of going to bed since then. I think that when we decide to convert her bed to a full size bed she will do just as well. I can't wait because I have had her full size bedding for a while and can't wait to see it all together! I am on the hunt now for some new bedding for Brayden, the only problem is one day he wants outer space and the next day it's something else. Kids, LOL!!

Peyton's Early Birthday Present

It all began before we left for vacation, Peyton would get mad at night because Brayden would go to his bed and get to watch t.v. She would go to her bed and fall asleep to music after lots of tears! We had already purchased her t.v. and dvd player for her birthday because they were beginning to have fights over who gets to watch their movie. Well since we have been back from vacation going to sleep for her has been awful because she wants to watch a movie like bubba. We finally broke down and this past Wednesday let her have her tv and dvd birthday present. She was so excited and loves her new t.v. which then lead us to turn her crib into a toddler bed so she could watch it from bed. I'll post bed pictures later.
