Fourth of July 2009

On the fourth of July we went to our friends the List's home to shoot off our own fireworks. They live in the country on land so we went over there and cooked hot dogs and had a bonfire with s'mores yummy! We had fun watching the kids with their sparklers and snap pops. Brent and David lit the bigger stuff like the fountains and race cars.

Forney Fireworks

On Friday the weekend of the Fourth of July we went with some friends and their kids to eat at Chick Fil-A and watched fireworks at the community park in Forney. They had a live band and consessions. It was a great atmosphere and we all had a great time and enjoy hanging out with the List Family!

Father's Day

This year for father's day we decided to make a gift for the grandpa's. For Popa Demers I had the kids paint picture frames and then we put pictures of them in their for him to take to his office. For PawPaw Billingsly the kids painted signs for his garden. They had fun making a mess but I think both grandpa's loved their gifts. For Brent he got a music/recording from the kids that sd I love you Daddy! We picked him out a new pair of sunglasses and a belt that he needed.

I used a stencil and they painted over it.

Cassidi's 5th Birthday Party

This year we went to the new community park in Forney for Cassidi's 5th birthday. The kids love water and so they loved the spray park that they have their. They also enjoyed the playground and the best part is it's free!

Memorial Day Weekend

For the rest of the Memorial Day weekend we went to Terry's lake house in Mineola. The kids had a blast playing with the new Shark slip-n-slide and throwing water balloons! We had some good food and fun with family and friends.

Parade in Ennis

We went to visit my oldest sister Melissa in Ennis during Memorial Day weekend and we took the kids to their first parade. I know I am a bad mommy they have never been to a parade. They had fun even though it took quite awhile to start because there was a train stopped on the tracks and wouldn't move. I thought it was funny because just about EVERY volunteer fire dept around Ennis was in the parade which made me wonder what would have happened in they were actually needed in their hometown. The other thing that I have never seen in a parade and you would only see in a small town was a huge John Deer tractor on a float. The only thing it was missing was the queen of the John Deer tractor! LOL!!

Waiting and waiting for the parade to start an hour late.

Shenaniganz

I am sorry that I have been way behind on posting blogs. I know I'm a horrible blogger but I'm trying! We have done several fun things with the kids recently so I am trying to get caught up. Back in May we took the kids to this place in Rockwall called Shenaniganz and they had a blast. We met our good friends Mike and Jenny there and the "kids" mean Mike, Brent, Brayden & Peyton played games and then we all had dinner there. We had fun and will be going back!
