Family Vacation 2010

This summer has been so... busy with work and school that we almost let the summer get by us without a vacation. We finally made some time for an extended weekend trip to Sea World San Antonio! It was a great lil get away with the kids and they loved getting to sleep in a hotel room. We headed to San Antonio on a Thursday and just took our time getting there. We stopped in at the Cabela's in Buda and got to see all of the cool stuffed animals they had as well as a cool aquarium! Once we made it to San Antonio we got cleaned up and went downtown to the river walk. We took the kids to the Rain Forrest Cafe, which was awesome! Friday morning, we woke up early and spent the whole day at Sea World. It was Super hot and crowded but we all had a blast! They have some wonderful shows and the kids loved the water park! On Saturday we did some shopping and just spent a relaxing day by the hotel pool. Sunday it was time to head back home but not before we stopped in a did a little shopping in San Marcos. We also took the kids to Aquarena Springs located by Texas State University! It was a very cool tour and we all enjoyed riding on the glass bottom boat! We had a wonderful family vacation and look forward to next year's adventure!

Peyton's 4th Birthday

This year we celebrated Peyton's birthday a few weeks early. She really wanted a mermaid party so we had it at our local community pool. We had to have it early because the pool closes down for the summer when school starts back. We all had a blast and it was wonderful having all of the pool facility to ourselves. We swam, had lunch and of course celebrated with a mermaid cupcake cake!

Peyton's swimsuit from Gymboree was my inspiration for the invitations!

Monica's Baby Shower

We were all so excited when we found out that my baby sis Monica and her boyfriend Curtis were expecting their first baby. We were super excited when we found out that she was expecting a boy! Brayden will finally have a boy cousin to play with. My mom, big sister Melissa and I all pitched in to throw Monica and Curtis a baby shower. Monica's middle name is Rae and has been calling baby Westerhoff her Lil Rae of Sunshine. So of course we knew we had to do something based around a sunshine theme! I think it turned out great! Monica, Curtis and baby Westerhoff got lots of goodies that day thanks to their friends and family.

The invitation I created.

We had to have sunflowers of course.

Presents galore to open :-)

Aww.. loved all the tiny baby clothes!

Turtle towel.

Got milk?

Showing us some of the goodies Carter got.

The crochet hat and baby blanket that Melissa's mom-in-law Sharon made!

Sharon also put together a diaper cake with lots of goodies for her.

The burp cloth and diaper bag my BF's mom-in-law made for Carter.

Car seat and stroller from Poppa and Nana Demers.

Melissa and I bought them their pack n' play. Curtis' sister Crystal bought them the crib bedding and his parents bought the crib, dresser/changer combo. With every one's help they just about got all of the things they needed for Carter's arrival. It's amazing how much stuff one tiny baby needs!

Lil' Rascals T-Ball

I signed Brayden and Peyton up to play t-ball on a co-ed team with the WPBA. At first Brayden did not want to play and Peyton couldn't wait since this was her first time. Well, as the season progressed Brayden loved playing and well... I could barely get Peyton to finish the second half of most games. I'm glad that Peyton got to have her first team experience and get her 1st trophy but I think next season she might just stick to cheering on bubba!

Practicing with daddy!

Waiting to catch the ball.

A little scrimmage at practice.

Peyton at bat! She would hit the ball so hard at home and then during

the game she would barely hit it.

I was so glad my father-in-law could help me since Brent had to work.

It's a good thing he's had lots of practice coaching because we needed it!
