Brayden's 5th Birthday Party

I can hardly believe that our baby B is 5 years old! I love my Brady baby with all my heart and feel extremely blessed that GOD gave us such a precious gift! Okay, okay enough of the mushy stuff, LOL!! Brayden loves to watch movies and enjoys going to the movie theater to see the latest kids movie. So, it was only fitting that he wanted to have a birthday party at our local movie theater. We got to see Furry Vengeance and it was a great "boy" movie! Lot's of kinda gross stuff but all of the kids loved it. We had pizza before the movie and then all of the kids got popcorn party packs. After the movie we all went back to the party room to have cake and open presents. It was a great day and our big boy had a great time :-)

Had to have a family pic!

The movie star cake I made along with the red and black star candies.

Easter Sunday

This year we celebrated Easter at Brent's sister's house in Mineola. We had lunch, the kids played and then had an egg hunt. The easter bunny brought the kiddos basket's with lots of goodies but mommy forgot to get a pic of them. Ooooppss. The kids also got a very special easter present this year... their very own bunny. With help from the kids we decided to name her Macy! She is a Nederland Dwarf and will not get very big. She is too cute, loves to eat and poop but the kids love her! Here are a few pics I have to share.

This was before their school party.

Eye Surgery Take Two

Brayden had to have eye muscle surgery two years ago and recently we noticed that his eye had begun turning in again. After several months of wearing glasses and observation Dr. Stager, Brayden's Pediatric Opthamoligist decided that he would need to undergo eye surgery once again. I think I was more anxious for his surgery this time around because of Brayden being older and understanding a little bit of what they were going to do to him. When I was explaining to him that he would have to have eye surgery on only one eye this time he asked "are they going to take my eyeball out?" I told him no and he said "good cuz I can't see with just one eye!". My crazy kiddo, LOL!! He did very well prior to surgery he didn't cry, he just laid in his bed and watched his Planet 51 movie. His surgery lasted a bit longer this time and I was begining to get worried but finally the nurse came out to get us. After surgery Brayden had a much different experience than the first time. This time he woke up extremely mad and tried to pull out his I.V. and was yelling and screaming at us. Then right before we got to leave he began getting sick so we had to get that under control before they would let us leave. The anestiologist assured that this was normal behavior especially for his age. Finally we went home and he slept the whole way home and most of the afternoon. Then when he woke up he was back to normal wanting to run and play! Since his surgery we have had a few follow up appointments and for now Brayden will continue to have to wear his glasses. If his eye continues to turn in then he may have to wear bi-focal's so I pray that does not happen!

Monster Jam

We took the kids to see the Monster Jam trucks at Cowboys Stadium and they loved it! We went with our good friends the List Family and had a blast. This was our first experience seeing the trucks in person and our first look at the new stadium. The trucks are super loud so we had to put headphones on the kiddos but that didn't stop the excitement! Although Brayden's favorite truck "Grave Digger" didn't win it was an awesome experience!

A roll over!

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow

Early Thursday morning it began to snow. We all woke up to a snow covered ground and the kids wanted to play in it but we had to go to school. Little did we know then that we would have a lot more snow to play in when we got home later that day. We had record snowfall and over the course of two days received a foot of snow! I was so glad that Brent was off on Friday because we all got to stay home and play in the snow. We all loved it except for Berkley who hates any kind of water, LOL!! It was truly a day I will never forget as the only time I have seen this much snow is when we went to Creed, CO. Since it was Valentine's weekend Brent and I went to dinner at Maggiano's my favorite Italian food place! The kids stayed home and had fun playing with Ms. Autumn their babysitter. When we came home the kids had just finished painting her nails and fixing her her, yes even Brayden was involved. LOL!! It was an awesome weekend and loved celebrating my 16 Valentine's day with my honey.

Before school on Thursday.

Snowing a little harder when we got home.

My snowman attempt with the kids help.

When Brent came home on Thursday he decided my snowman wasn't big enough.

This was his snowman!

This is what we woke up to Friday morning.

Playing in the snow :-)

A foot of snow in Texas is crazy!

Peyton could hardly walk in it.

White Christmas 2009

Christmas morning we awoke to a yard of white snow! It had started snowing Christmas Eve and stayed on the ground for a wonderful white Christmas. This year Peyton was the first to awake because she wanted milk. She walked right by the tree and said nothing, since it was about 6 in the morning I did not bring it to her attention, LOL! A few hours later I heard Brayden yelling Mommy, Daddy, Santa came and he ate his cookies and drank the milk :-) They were so excited so we quickly woke up and went in the living room to see the joy on their faces! It wasn't long before the wrapping paper was flying. After opening presents and taking things out of boxes and putting about a million batteries in things we got ready for Christmas presents round 4! This year we celebrated with Brent's family at his sister and boyfriends house out in Mineola. The kids opened presents and then finally the adults had their turn! The kids got so many new toys, Brent got a gift card to buy some new clothes and well I think I got the best present of all.. I got the Cricut Expression that I have longed for, LOL!! We ate lunch and then after a long day returned home to crash and burn :-) It was a wonderful Christmas and am extremely thankful for my husband, children and family because they are all wonderful in their own ways!
The following are just a few pics of all the toys and games the kids got for Christmas! I wasn't able to get everything on camera and if I did you would be looking at pics for days. HeHe!!

Brayden got the Cars fishing game and Peyton got a princess one.

His 35 shot dart gun, oh my! Thank you NaNa B.

Peyton, loves all of her new Barbie's!

This desk used to belong to his daddy. Brent's name is on the chair and Nana B. repaired and refinished it and added Brayden's name up above the pencil tray. He loves it and has been using it while working with his Preschool workbooks. This will be a great place for homework when he starts school in August!

Christmas Eve 2009

On Christmas eve we went to Brent's Uncle Bud's house, which is a family tradition. We had some wonderful ham, brisket and lots of sides to choose from. Of course what dinner would be complete without dessert! We had a wonderful time visiting with family and the kids got to play with their cousins. After dinner the kids and us big kids got to open our presents! Thank you to everyone for the great gifts, they are much appreciated :-)
