Peyton's Birthday Party

For Peyton's 3rd birthday party we decided to do a Barbie beach bash! We had everyone over to our house and rented an inflatable water slide. For lunch we had pizza, salad and fruit salad. I made Peyton's flip flop ice cream cakes this year but also had some cupcakes made as well. It was a beautiful sunny day but very hot. Peyton loved everything about her party and that makes for one happy momma!

Hawaiian Falls

We took the kids to their first big water park this year. They have been to Wet Zone in Rowlett but that is small compared to HF. We decided to go with Annie M, Uncle T and cousin's Meg & Morg. Brayden wanted to ride all of the big rides but unfortunately he wasn't tall enough yet but maybe next year. He wasn't exactly happen about it but thank goodness the kids play area had a Jr size slide that he went down a gazillion times! Peyton stuck to the little slide and played with the toys at the kids water area. Brent and I got to race each other down a couple of the big slides called the Waikiki Wipeout. A 65 ft high free fall body slide that takes you through a tunnel and and over the edge. I almost passed out after the second time because I think I had so much blood rushing to my head! It was so.. awesome I loved it! We all enjoyed the wave pool and the lazy river was the best. I look forward to being able to take the kids back next year.

Holly Lake

This year for our family vacation we went with some good friends to their grandparent's lake house in East Texas. We went out there on a Friday night and came back Sunday afternoon. We had a great weekend of lake fun, fishing, cooking out and hanging with friends! Peyton rode in the tube for the first time ever while Brayden wouldn't even jump off the boat into the water. We got to see tons of deer out there and when we came home we had our first experience of removing a tick from Brayden's behind. Not exactly the place you would like to find one! We had so much fun that I think we might just have to make this a yearly event :-)
