Brayden's 3rd Birthday

Brayden had a party at school yesteday and we let him pick out the cake, which he chose an
Oreo cake. He is begining to like his new big boy classroom because they play outside every day, make fun projects and he can't wait to go to the library for story time. We are just so proud of him and love seeing how much he's grown in just the past 3 years. Now that Brayden is potty trained it makes me happy that we don't have to buy him diapers anymore but sad to know that he is growing into such a little man. He is such a caring boy and tells me how CC is his best friend and I only hope that their bond continues to grow as they do!

Brayden also got to open his presents early this year from Daddy and Mommy since Brent had to work on his actual birthday. I think after all the days of parties and presents he's going to wonder why everyday is not his birthday (Ha,Ha)!

Brayden's 3rd Birthday Party

Brayden decided this year that he wanted to have a dinosaur birthday party so I set out to find the perfect location for this type of theme. During my hunt I came across the Dallas Museum of Nature and Science, they host a Dinosaur Dig birthday party which was just what we were looking for. I think the party went very well, all of the kids got to learn about different types of dinosaurs, make mask's, dinosaur paper bag puppets and then they got to dig in the sand to uncover dinosaur bones. Once we got back to the party room, Brayden opened presents and we sang Happy Birthday and had cookie cake (yummy)!! I have a ton of pics but I'll try to limit on this post. Thanks to everyone who came to make Brayden's 3rd birthday so.. special!

Shrek Ears

The kids were taking a bath and I decided to let them clean their ears out on their own. It is so... much easier on me because they fight me when I try to do it and they actually do a pretty good job. Brayden decided to put both q-tips in his ears and said Mommy I'm Shrek! Peyton saw him and decided to try it too. They are so silly!

Surprise Spoiled

Brayden got a new big boy JEEP to ride on for his birthday from Daddy and Mommy. He was not supposed to get it until his birthday next Wednesday, but Brent had it in the garage and forgot to cover it. We got home from school on Thursday and I was bringing stuff in the house and noticed it wasn't covered so I went to grab a sheet to cover the huge box and when I came back out Brayden was standing in front of it. He said I LUV IT, Thank You!! He immediately wanted to drive it. We had to call Daddy to tell him Thank You and I got the pleasure of bringing in this huge box into the house by myself, putting it together took me 3 hours. I had to hand screw everything together and of course Brayden kept asking me every two minutes Is my car ready? I told Brent I know what he's getting for father's day, a new cordless drill, he's gone through two now so I hope I can find one that will last. The battery had to charge overnight but the kids sat in it and played with the radio until they could ride it the next morning. They looked to cute in it!

He couldn't wait for his Jeep to get put together!

All put together and driving it first thing Friday morning!

Brayden Grilling Nummies

My parent's kept the kids overnight a few weeks ago and they decided to grill since my dad just got a new one. Brayden of course had to help him popa grill because he love's popa's nummies. Peyton mostly sat back and watched her big bubba grill. The grill looks like it's hot in the pictures but it really is just smoking from some left over coals, plus of course everyone is standing close by supervising to make sure he stays safe.

Brayden gettin the tongs ready for grilling.

Brayden dropped the nummies on the ground which is a small piece of meat inside all of that foil.

In true griller fashion notice that he just picks it up off the ground and puts it back on the grill! LOL!!

Peyton's Breathing Treatments

Peyton began feeling ill this past Saturday and it has just progressively gotten worse. She went to school on Thursday and I got a call around 11:30 that she was just screaming her head off and acted like she didn't feel well. She wasn't running fever but has a horrible cough and a bit of a runny nose. She was tugging on her ear so I was worried that she might also have an ear infection. I picked her up from school early and took her to the doctor. The doctor checked her ears and they were fine so I was glad that wasn't an issue too. They checked her oxygen level which was a bit low and so they had us do a breathing treatment while we were there which was so... not fun. She was tired as it was, hadn't had a nap and of course just not feeling well didn't want to have anything to do with a mask on or in front of her face. Once that was done they re-checked her level and it was a bit better but still not excellent. I was sent home with a breathing machine and a prescription for Albuterol and Zithromax. We have to do the breathing treatment's every 4 hours for the next few days and hopefully be better by Monday. If she's not better she might have to have a steroid shot, so we are hoping that this medicine works.

(Not the best pic but she wouldn't exactly stand still.)

Brayden's Potty Training

We officially began potty training on Friday, April the 18th and were home much of the weekend. I purchased the "Potty Training in One Day" book/DVD set to help me with pointers and possibly a new method. Before this he would go potty sometimes when asked but would never initiate it himself. Over the course of this week I am proud to say that he has done wonderfully! It has not been completely accident free but we are on the road to success! He is begining to wake up at night to go potty and has only been wearing big boy underwear. He no longer wants to wear pull up's at all. I was really worried about him going to school this week, just a different environment plus so much excitement. Tuesday he only had one accident because he didn't make it to the bathroom in time and as of today he had no accidents at school. His teacher's told me that he told them everytime he needed to go potty. Our Baby B is turning into such a big boy!

Brent said that last night Peyton said tee tee and made him follow her to the potty, she sat on the big toilet but didn't do anything. We just thought it was too cute though and hope that from watching Bradyen that maybe when it's her turn to potty train it will go smoothly.

Sporting his big boy underwear!

Checking out his good work!

Hard to see but the shiny stuff is his good work!
